Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Cindr software platform and website, operated by Cindr ("we", "us"), a business based in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using Cindr you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Email us at info@cindrapp.com
2. The service
Cindr provides software to assist UK fire safety contractors in producing fire risk assessment reports to PAS 79-1 for commercial premises and BS 9792:2025 for housing. Features include structured data entry forms, AI-assisted report writing, and PDF export.
Cindr is an early-stage product under active development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change as the product evolves.
3. Reports, credits and payment
Cindr is charged per report produced. The current price is £20 plus VAT per report. The first 5 reports on each account are provided free of charge, with no payment details required to begin.
After the free allocation, reports are purchased in advance as prepay credit packs. One credit is consumed per report generated. Volume discounts may be available on larger packs; the applicable rate is shown at the point of purchase.
VAT is added at checkout at the applicable rate.
Prices may change with reasonable notice. Any change will not affect credits you have already purchased.
4. Refunds and unused credits
Unused credits do not expire while your account remains active. Credits already consumed to generate a report are non-refundable.
If you wish to stop using Cindr, you may request a refund of any unused credits by emailing info@cindrapp.com. Refunds of unused credits are granted at our discretion, and we will respond to any request within 14 days.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Accounts are granted to individual firms and are not transferable. You may not resell, sublicense, or share access credentials with parties outside your firm.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the following.
- Ensuring that all information you enter into Cindr is accurate and complete
- Reviewing, checking, and taking professional responsibility for all report content before it is issued to any client or responsible person
- Complying with all applicable laws and professional standards, including PAS 79-1, BS 9792:2025 and any obligations arising from your BAFE or other accreditation
- Keeping your login credentials secure and notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
6. Professional responsibility
Cindr is a tool to support fire risk assessors. It does not replace professional judgement. The assessor named on any report produced using Cindr remains solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and professional adequacy of that report. Cindr accepts no liability for reports issued to clients on the basis of outputs generated by the software.
See also our AI Responsibility Statement for specific information about AI-generated content within the platform.
7. Intellectual property
The Cindr platform, its design, and underlying technology are owned by Cindr. You retain ownership of all report content you create using the platform. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service.
8. Data and privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Cindr you acknowledge that you have read and understood that policy.
Where you input data about third parties (such as building occupants or responsible persons) into Cindr, you confirm that you have a lawful basis to do so under UK GDPR.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cindr will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of revenue, or claims from third parties arising from reports produced using the platform.
Our total liability to you in any calendar year will not exceed the total amount you paid us in that year. Where you have used only the free report allocation and paid us nothing, that amount is zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Termination and suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access to Cindr if you breach these terms, including non-payment for credits purchased, and you do not remedy the breach within 14 days of us notifying you. We may also suspend access where necessary to prevent harm to the service, other users, or Cindr, without prior notice. You may stop using Cindr at any time; your right to a refund of unused credits is set out in section 4.
11. Assignment
We may assign, transfer, or subcontract our rights and obligations under these terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided this does not materially reduce the protections available to you under these terms. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent.
12. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severed from these terms and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
13. Entire agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and AI Responsibility Statement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cindr regarding your use of the service, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to that use.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will notify account holders of material changes by email with at least 14 days notice before changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
